im lookin at this kit for my 70 gmc it has leaf springs

Unless you have fabrication and welding skills that kit is not a good idea. You have to know what your doing in order to install it properly. Its a complete weld in deal and it not application specific. If your comfortable welding and fabricating then the kit isnt a big deal just takes time and patience. This is not a do it yourself kit.

i got a friend whos like a master at it he will be doing the welding lol i just need like a build idea i guess like 2 bars on out side of frame str8

and the other 2 like a /\ thing lol

If your looking to eliminate the leaf springs and go to a true 4 link you would be better off to just back half the truck. S&W has a bunch of kits. The biggest issue is making sure your axle centerline stays where it belongs.

This is not a do it yourself kit. im really think about it arnt they all do your self kits

Its not about laying frame its about having a safe suspension. If your geometry is not correct you will have a disaster on your hands. I'm not trying to turn you away from doing it but being able to weld is only one small part of it. Suspension is a giant safety issue. Both for the people in your truck and the people around you on the road.

Talk to nate aka porterbuilt on here he probably can do a trailing arm kit like the chevy trucks used.
