Hacked up doors!!
So the PO decide to cut my nice solid doors for a set of old, huge, horrible 6x9 speakers.... If I could find him Id "tie him to the car... and drag him". SOOOOOOO does anyone have a set of doors that are uncut at the bottom that maybe the rest of the door is junk, and your willing to cut up?

Re: Hacked up doors!!
Why not repair what you've got? Cut out a piece of metal the same size and weld them in, not a big deal. A bit of grinding and some body work and you can save what you have. They look like a good set of doors, the set you get may need work also.

Re: Hacked up doors!!
It seems like 60% of these got the doors cut like that. I know mine did. My solution is a little different; dynamat the door and put a better speaker in.

Re: Hacked up doors!!
Yes, very common.
That's why anyone who has junk doors, before they scrap them, should cut that area out if its still intact. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Hacked up doors!!
LostMy65 EXACTLY RIGHT!! I want to "Look" bone stock at first glance (minus the lowering). Speakers in the doors kill me!

Re: Hacked up doors!!
I looked at one of the doors I have and the area that you need is fine and no one cut it for speakers. I didnt check the second door yet but like I said, If at least one patch can help I will cut it out and send it to you??

Re: Hacked up doors!!
LMC truck and several other places sell repair or patch panels for the inside of the doors too- it's a lot less work than prepping used ones. JMO

Re: Hacked up doors!!
I have some rotted doors I could cut out. Is it just a flat piece? Welding is going to be hard without warping that panel. I have used polyuerathane adhesive on panel but metal has to be ground clean. email me

Re: Hacked up doors!!
^^buy a copper block or welding spoon. Helps channel the heat and really helps with burn and warpage on sheetmetal. I haven't tackled my inside yet, but for doing the door exterior it was a lifesaver.
