shopping shocks
I'm still trying to make up my mind on new shocks and leaf springs for 72 K20 burb. I think I found a source for stock spec leaf springs here in Oregon (thanks member Brad) and now need a quality set of shocks. I talked with a local auto parts guy and he mentioned ones amde by Edelbrock. Does anyone have experience with these or other good brand? As always the look comes into play as I try to "do right" this truck. I'm trying to avoid the white Rancho shock with Red boot look, maybe I'll change my mind!!

I don't know about those but i have kyb gas-adjust on my 79 3/4 ton conversion van. they handle great (good enough to insult BMW's on the German autobahn) and reduct the body roll that most vans have. I think they are far better then the Monroe gas magnums that I have on my 67 truck.

im running 10 dollar monroe gas shocks in the front ...seem to be just fine .... i wanna try out those kyb's im always hearing about ... first i have to take out the air shocks in the back

i have kby's all around and like them , but you really can get good quality gas shocks from a local parts store or j.c.whitney for quite a bit less that do a good job

My buddy got stock length replacement Edelbrocks on his '94 z71 and it rides great. I'd suggest them for any application; stock, lowered or lifted.

KYB gas for me too. I'm pretty happy with them. Easy to install as long as you have the right hardware!

Edelbrock says no for application we have. I bet the specs for our shocks could be x-referenced to their shocks and something found. They did not want to deal with it. Summit has them for $100 for 4 with free shipping, sure would like to take advantage of that.
Anyone know where the extended length, compressed length and stroke length are for K20 burb. I know I've seen it somewehere, just can't find it now.
