Finally got to spray some paint, what do you think???
Well after about nine months of hard work and learning along the way, I was finally able to paint the truck. Its a military theme truck so I painted it a custom blended flat Olive drap green. I painted the truck in the garage and most of the panels outside in the driveway.. The neighbors just love me!!
Here are some pictures of the color. I cant wait to start getting this thing back together... So tell me what you think????? [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Finally got to spray some paint, what do you think???
looks really good but i have to ask whats with the square hole in the fender and the big hole in the bumper. Oh and to go with a really good authentic look you should have waited until you put it together and masked only the tires and glass then shot on a real overly heavy coat of paint with a few runs it here and there lol

Living right next to Fort Bragg, see alot of that drab green. Never seen it on this body style truck...doesn't look bad. Like to see it when its done.

Good eye on the front bumper. I hate to spill the beans right now because I want to get the truck further along with all the stuff Im doing to it. I came up with this idea one night while working in he garage and watching an episode of American Chopper. Because of the military theme I thought it would be appropiate to have some guns mounted to the front so what better then some homemade Mini-Guns.. Here i a picture of them unpainted and not yet mounted but you get the idea. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Theres more but I'm going to wait till I get it a little further along.. Hope you like it!!

Looks cool in that color. Not sure but it looks like the dog still wasn't sure about it.

Re: Finally got to spray some paint, what do you think???
i sense a "theme" here....
paint looks good, looking fwd to the final product - I think that the wheels you choose will make or break this project. Not that I have a vote, but I think adapting old military steelies would, well, you know. Cool. |

Re: Finally got to spray some paint, what do you think???
SRVBLUES64, the color and truck look good. I really like the flat olive drab green and I dont see it much at shows..
I have a set of Doge 20' steels already that will be black. Yes, it is a military theme truck and I have lots Im doing to it to make it unique I guess you could say. Here is a picture of my hood ornment to kinda show you the thought behind the bumper guns.. [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Finally got to spray some paint, what do you think???
Its definitely going to have a star on the door but not sure what style. I have different drawings on paper so I need to decide soon so I can finish. I have one more big surprise for the truck but not sure if I should post pictures yet?? I want to get them mounted this week first so no one steal my idea.. LOL
I’m always open to ideas and suggestions guys, I want to make this a tribute to all armed forces……
