Custom Brake Line Kit (Any Interest?)
After swapping a 91 suburban front braking system into my 66 I realized the hardest and most annoying part of the whole ordeal was piecing together the plumbing.
So it got me thinking, how convenient would it be if I could just buy a kit with various lengths of tubing WITHOUT the fittings already attached, a whole bunch of fittings, a flaring tool and a tubing bender? One kit, entire system plumbed! It has to be cheaper too than buying pre-bent lines and you can route your lines anyway you want. This kit would also work for fuel line. Has anyone else experienced these kinds of headaches/ would be interested in buying a kit for their next project? Just testing the waters before I contact the manufactuers |

One can go to the parts store or Summit and buy all these pieces and tools. I may be missing part of your kit idea.

Re: Custom Brake Line Kit (Any Interest?)
I think what my biggest selling point would be is that one does not have to piece a kit together, especially a newbie who does not have the expertise to get all the correct parts on the first trip to autozone. Especially the different diameter tubing needed from the m/c to the ppv, as opposed to the ppv to the rest of the system. And multiple fittings and adapters for both sizes, t fittings, male to male adapters etc.
This would more or less be an alternative to a pre-bent system, buy one thing you're done, except it will be a DIY kit Maybe I'm just overthinking it. |
