Yeah,to me the ultimate is an unrestored original and second best is restored with OEM parts,which is as close as you can get. OEM can be N.O.S. or excellent used as far as I'm concerned. It's only N.O.S. until you use it anyway. The '67 I'm building (at least I think I still am) is being built from all excellent used GM sheetmetal. Even the louvered hood. I want to do something with the tailgate to add a custom tough to the rear,so I'll probably use a blank reproduction tailgate.What I plan is my little secret. But,maybe I'll just paint the OEM one,too,when the time comes to keep that OEM thing complete. I'm considering also painting a stock hood so I can swap that on.
