removing bump stops
I am in the process of rebuilding my front end, should I just replace the bump stops or try to get the out and if so how? Anyone see a reaonable priced kit that has the upper/lower ball joints and the crossbar with the ends or should I just check at my local NAPA and buy the Dana spicer replacements?

Re: removing bump stops
I bought my parts from NAPA.
But it's been a few years. Which bumpstops are you replacing?

Re: removing bump stops
All the front, upper and lower a-arm, I got them out and think I will reuse them, they actually cleaned up nice. I bought all new upper and lower ball joints and control arms in Dana spicer, not as much as I thought and it will be all new when I put it back togather.

Re: removing bump stops
I jacked up my Camaro and put it on jackstands allowing the front suspension to hang. Wrong. The rubber stops were squashed and destroyed. I suppose its better to find out w/o doing a dukes of hazzard anyway.
Might want to replace but realize that 40 year old rubber is better than new Chinese rubber |
