WTB- 77 tach dash
I have had some leads but none of them paid off. I need a tach dash for my 77 Cheyenne. I prefer excellent condition, but will consider lessor quality

I've got one with an air guage in it. I may have sold it, I will contact the hopeful buyer to see if he's still interested.

I have a 78-80 tach dash but the tach doesnt work. I know the year because its electronic oil pressure and as im sure you know, 77 was the last year for mechanical. But it would be an easy swap to swap the mechanical guage in, or switch your truck to oil pressure sending unit. It is otherwise identical to '77. If you have a connection for getting it fixed, it might be worth looking into

I have a real nice one from a '77 4-spd pickup I pulled earlier this summer. I tested all the gauges with a gauge tester & they are all accurate EXCEPT the tach. The tester I used doesn't do tachs so I used a donor truck- it read about 500 rpm off @ 3 grand. The gauge faces & needles are in excellent condition. The clear bezel shows the typical minor haze & scratches. I pulled all of the wiring harness including the noise suppressor at the distributor. If you have an auto trans, you just install your PRNDL indicator.
The "tach repair guys" say the tach reading innacurate is a common problem with these & is easily repairable. |
