Steering wheel question
I have a 58 apache and would like to change out the steering wheel with one a little smaller, and with a chrome horn ring. My question is what other chevy steering wheels fit this truck.I found a few on ebay from impalas that I really like. Will these fit or do I need some kind of adapter? Thanks

Re: Steering wheel question
I think they should all bolt on up to like 91' or up to the air bag era. I just pulled a smaller wheel off mine for two reasons 1. Looks 2. I don't have power steering.
A friend has a 62 impala, that was getting rid of his original wheel so i grabbed it. It bolted right on no adapter needed. It's big so it's closer to what my wife refers to as my "5 month buldge". But its easier to turn and more importantly looks 1000% better. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Steering wheel question
Thanks for the reply. My problem was that the steering wheel was to big also but not from " my 5 month buldge" , I am 6' 8" and have no leg room. I really like the look of the impala steering wheels. Thanks

Re: Steering wheel question
Dang man,
At 6'5"/270 i thought i was a freak. I will end up shortening my collum or swapping it out, and then once the gas tank is out i can deal with the seat. I'm hunched over trying ti see out mine, you must really be cramped. Good luck with the wheel. Posted via Mobile Device |
