'58 Urethane spring bushing conversion?

I'm pulling my springs to have them re-arched for a 6" lift on my 4x4 project.

The shackle bushing pins are all worn out. Has anyone converted to urethane bushings and bolts like later model suspensions?

Im assuming you mean 4x4 squarebody bushings. I think orrieg has them on his. Check his build or pm him.

OR, has anyone had success bolting up 73-87 leafs and mounting brackets under the stock frame? Looks like about a 6" longer eye to eye difference on 73-87 springs front and rear.

Yes, urethane spring eye bushings like on the square body trucks. I think the eyes in the springs are probably too small for a urethane bushing after the threaded inserts are knocked out.

I'll contact Orrie and see what he's done.

Orrie has square body leaves on his off a blazer i think. 1/2 ton bolt right up i think, but 3/4 is too wide.
