72 to a 68?

thanks guys, after doing some research and taking your much appreciated info into account we have decided to stick to what we have.... i think its good for us to stick with what came factory but also to add that one off touch.... I think i have with my own 72. To be honest i have found so many differences between my 72 super cheyenne and this bare bones 68. any suggestions are always welcome. since this truck is a stepside i have been thinking of shaving the taillights.... and putting them into where the bedside rolls at the top.... i have figgured a way to make a custom lense that would be way sleek but im not sure if it would be visible enough?
