Thanks friend! I keep getting asked why I would drop a 1954 straight six vs a small block or a LS1.

I'm dropping in a 235 6 when it comes time also, and yes they are cooler than a v-8

those compressor and alternator mounts are nice, did allen make them?

Nice project and you are going to cover it all up!
You would have saved some money if you would went with a LS, but it is your truck and only for you, enjoy it!

That's awesome what your doing! What other plans do you have for this truck? What kinda front end did you use? Mustang II? I'm lovin' your choices so far! Esp the engine! Pretty cool! Can't wait to see more pics!

Yes Mustang II front end. 200R4 with Overdrive transmission.

I get so much grief from my buddies about the same thing. They think building up my stock 228 and keeping the factory original auto is such a stupid idea. "throw a small block in there!"


Just curious tho, what made you go with such a strong frame and 9" ($$!!!) for an I6?
