wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

Looking to repair several sets of bucket seat brackets I have so I need parts...especially the front stands which are rusty on a few....so I plan to use the front stands of bench seat brackets which are the same...who has some out there. Will take the large spring and the "key" piece also if you have them and of course will take bucket seat brackets as well if you have those...

Please post pictures if possible and a price you want shipped to 23803 business. Thanks!

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

I have a set of blazer brackets off of 1974 low backs and some blazer brackets off of 1971 buckets. They're at home and I won't be there until next weekend, but I'm replying so I can find this thread later. The frames were rusted pretty bad so I went a different route, but still have the brackets. Would those brackets help if they are in decent shape? What would be the best way to ship?

Edit: Would you wanna pick them up at the Atuofair, or need them before then?

I have several bench seats I would be willing to sell the brackets off of. Perhaps you could post a picture of exactly what you need. LMK

Definitely interested in the 71 brackets pending pics and price. They run around 30-40 to ship through fedex from my experience...(not paying a fedex or UPS packaging store to package though as they mark up the shipping...)

not going to make it to Charlotte this year...last year I lost money by the time you look at gas and using my hotel points for a room...the only things I sold I could have sold here just as easily...and probably for more Plus, I never really got to see the show or other parts. Only good part was talking with a few of you guys who stopped by and/or sold with me.
I'll hopefully be in a better financial position next year and can make Charlotte and Carlisle...looking forward to meeting more of the guys on the board and seeing old friends again

buckets??? I'll have to take a picture when I get them back from the shop together with the new ones I'm bringing in.

I'll take as many sets of the stands as I can get as long as they're cheap

71-72

Rear bracket is shorter and curved.
These brackets won't work on a 69-70 seat.
Ask me how I know,...

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

67-68

The 67-68 version has a "stamped" sheetmetal riser in the back.
(it's made like the lower leg)

This picture shows them upside down,... but I circled the sheetmetal rear seat riser.
Also the 67-68 seat adjustment arm is slightly different, and no rubber cover on the arm.

Oh,I see. I know why you know, its called "been there done that". I learn more things that way then I'd like to admit. Good info to know. I think he just wants them for the feet under the slide bar. I could be wrong. For the record the ones I have here are 71-72.

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

Thanks Keith...

Is that already an FAQ somewhere? If not, it needs to be

I just want the front stands anyways since they are the same as the stands used on the bucket seat brackets. I grind them off with a die grinder and weld them to the bucket seat brackets to fix a pair with the "ears" rusted off

No FAQ that I know of.
Is it possible to swap the stands from the 67-72 bucket seat mounts onto the 73-75 bucket seat mounts,... and use them on 67-72 buckets?

That would make an excellent FAQ...maybe do a brackets FAQ in general...to add to it...

You "could" swap the front stands (floor mount) and use them, but they'd still be 5/8" inch taller at the front and 1/2" taller at the rear...

The bucket seat brackets are the same at the bottom rear for 69-72 and 73-up. It's the front stands on the bottom and BOTH upper stands that are different. The front stands on the bottom (cab floor side) are a full inch taller on the 73-up brackets.

The pieces that bolt to the seats are the same bolt pattern but different heights also. The front seat mount stand is 3 1/4" high on the 69-72 bucket mounts and 3 7/8" on the 73-up
The rear seat mount stand is 2 7/8" high on 69-72 bucket mounts and 3 3/8" on the 73-up

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

I have two complete pairs of seat brackets both from 72 i think one is missing that big spring but I'm not sure yet. all look good I dont believe theres anything wrong with them. Somebody could use them complete but I don't need them I probably have 4 or 5 more sets somewhere if I did. Are they worth $30 to you for the two pairs plus the ship? I can get you a exact ship but I cant believe it would be more than $15 or $17. If I package and ship ups,I print my own labels and just drop off.

I think HeavymetalChevy has me covered for now...he's shipping me several sets of just the pieces I need. I'd already stolen the parts from these brackets from him for other parts So if you have a couple complete sets I'd list them complete. they seem to go for around 25 a set or so....

If you wind up with a extra handle that will work on a 67 bracket I sure could use one.

Don't know if you need anymore but I just figured I would post a couple pics of what I have. No big deal either way. I also have two sets of bucket seat frames that are shall we say crispy

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

How much for all or how much for just the pair of shorter brackets on the right in the last picture and the center bracket on the left? Shipped to home 23112 zip or business 23803 zip. Thanks!

Re: wtb bench seat brackets and bucket seat brackets (parts okay too)

I forgot to mention that I also have the front passenger mount for the '71 set that is still attached to the seat frame. I can remove that to make you a complete set of 4 brackets for '71 buckets. I just checked on shipping using some rough figures and it looks like I could do $75 shipped for the complete set of '71 brackets. That would also include the small passenger side u-shaped bracket which bolts to the floor. If you want all 8 brackets I'll do just the additional shipping and an extra $20. Let me know if those numbers make sense for you.
