I traded a Jeep for this 71 GMC a couple months back and have been working on it steadily since. I've learned alot from the site already and will probably be putting some of the interior up for sale here soon.

1 day before your burb showed up on craigslist I bought a 1968 GMC swb truck. The next day I saw that burb and I was so upset that I purchased my truck, I really wanted a blazer or burb but got tired of looking. Thats going to be a great project! Keep updated on how its going, I really want to see it when you get it finished...

Thanks, my son and I only meet up with everyone in PA. then drove to the last stop in jersey. It was great, crazy cars and beautiful sceneries. My truck has a 2.5 spindle with a 1 inch spring in the front. In the rear a 4inch drop spring and 1/2 blocks.

Thanks for the welcome. Right now I'm just replacing panels that were either rusted or dented beyond repair. So far that's been both tail light surrounds, and the driver side rear wheel well.

It's a pretty original truck with the motor just being rebuilt a few years ago. The guy I bought it from packed the whole truck with extra parts (all the stuff in the picture). I've got 4 bench seats, everything to add front air (it's got rear air now) and lots of little parts.

I bought a set of 4 leather seats for it and plan on doing the interior next and just driving it for a while. I've got a 5.3 that'll eventually go in it.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Congrats Hottrod 72. I never looked at it when it was for sale but had seen it cruising around town last summer. If I had not already got my '67 I would have been all over that. The price was definitely right!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

A picture of my work in progress... (Sorry, later, the picture is too heavy)
1970 GMC Suburban(aut,2WD) on a 1985 4X4 pick-up frame.
1 ton differentials, 454 engine, manual 4 speed
I have 2 others for parts to complete my project, 1 panel, 1 chevy custom with the deluxe interior and air conditioning.
Picture coming sunday, project planned to be finished in april. Production date is 05/70, my birthday too, so we'll have a trail party.
