Re: Clutch problem
First make sure all adjustments are correct.
There's a few possibilities. One is a bind in the input shaft housing where the throwout bearing slides back and forth. It could be bone dry and binding, have worn spots that keep it from sliding smoothly or the throwout bearing fork is not in the grooves correctly. Other possibility is a defective pressure plate. |

Re: Clutch problem
I will look into it this weekend. How do I lubricate if it is binding?

Re: Clutch problem
The original motor was a 327. It has since been changed out to a 350.

Re: Clutch problem
I haven't looked under my truck in a while and not sure if you can do it without backing off the transmission. You may be able to remove the inspection cover and see if you can detect any thing in there with a flashlight. Maybe have someone press on the clutch while you look at it but be sure an chock the wheels first.

Re: Clutch problem
I am going to take it into a mechanic. I don't really know what I am doing. Thanks for your help though.
