Thanks but with gas prices I am sure it would be cheaper to order some. I just need to find out who has them.

Re: went square again

I would try Brothers or LMC. not too sure who would have it really, Its not a part that people seem to need very often

I did not see them on Brothers site and I will not use LMC. Who are the main vendors for the 73-87 crowd?

4.3 v6 backed by a T400. I have done some research and apparently everyting on the front but the balancer will swap right over to the small block and then I just need some headers.

it sure will. I have a TBI 350 and 700R4 that would slide right in if you want to go that way. You can even drive it before it comes out.

I took a look at your build thread and that is one awesome truck. It would be worth the small drive just for the test ride.

Either 5.3 or 6.0. Most likely 6.0, though.

Sure, anytime. I have a 3 year old, so we are usually around on the weekends if you get our way. Come on by and have a beer (or a Coke and a smile, whichever you prefer) and talk trucks.

Thank you for the offer but I am going to pass on the motor for now. I just bought a set of vortecs and roller rockers from a member that were intended for my burb and now I am leaning toward getting a short block to go with the heads for the 85. I also picked up a 700 r4 from another member for the burb that might make its way in the 85 but the rear end gears are 2.7??? something so they would need to be changed to atleast a 3.42. Oh by the way I like Coke but Miller Lite would be my choice. Cheers! KT

PS. Cute daughter I have a 7yr old and a 10yr old daughter myself and they are both definately Daddy's girls and love my trucks. It was hard to sell my 69 because their first years were spent taking it to the beach (lake) every weekend.

Re: went square again

I don't know why I thought it was an '87. Reading comprehension is lacking, I guess. No matter, feel free to holler if you are out this way. The offer is always open.

3.42 is a sweet gear with a 700R4. Hard to go wrong with that, or 3.73's.

Re: went square again

Got this thing buffed out this weekend with some compound and it looks like a different truck. I thought everything but the hood came out great. I think it may just need some more work. I ran out of daylight for pics. I also got the broken front air dam removed along with the bed rails. I scrubbed the inside of the bed and I would have to say this truck was hardly used.

Re: went square again

These pics suck as well. It seems I am always running out of daylight. The one door and fender needs a little help but otherwise it is a straight truck.

Re: went square again

As of right know she is a keeper but who knows what tomorrow may hold. I was trying to get down to just two toys. I may turn this into a daily give the wife my Tahoe and sell the Conversion Van.
