Re: ignition switch install help?
I will be installing a Highway 22 into my '55 3100. That uses the same switch. In the fit-up I noticed the ignition switch nut will not go down far enough to tighten the switch onto the sheet metal. (I also thought that was pretty poor, considering that about 100% of AAW's applications would have the same problem.) I made a thin washer (about 1/8" thick) out of a piece of PVC pipe, and that did the trick.

Re: ignition switch install help?
I think I have the opposite problem as you. The switch doesn't go through the back of the dash far enough for the nut in the front to catch the threads on the switch. Maybe it's a matter of modifing the bracket on the back of the dash that holds the switch and the dash light?

Re: ignition switch install help?
Don't know. Maybe someone with an AD truck can help. No bracket on a TF.
