What drums will fit my new 5 on 4-3/4 axles?
I have just followed the suggestion of installing Moser axles on my factory 12 bolt to achieve 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern. Does anyone know what drums will fit the new axles and factory drum set up?
Thank you, Joey |

Who's suggestions did you follow? As far as I know those that choose to run the smaller car pattern just redrill stock drums to fit.

I do not recall the name(s) that I read on the various threads but the general rule was to change the axles to achieve the small bolt pattern.
I didn't read the drum applications but most likely glanced over them. I was hoping to find an OEM replacement to avoid any lost time hunting down a machine shop. |

Why did you go to a 5 x 4 3/4 if you don't mind me asking..

I would redrill the stock truck brake drums.
I would imagine that a passenger car brake drum would have a smaller center hole. (to fit the hub of the axle) Or did you have the center hub of the axle turned down also?

I ended up drilled the org and got them on. The tire guys are on the way to mock everything and check back spacing.
I used performanceonline.com 5 on 4 3/4 kit with drop springs. The allows you to use the org spindles and joints. Seems to have worked out well thus far. Very easy to install. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What drums will fit my new 5 on 4-3/4 axles?
I had Moser make the replacement axles with the 5 on 4 3/4 pattern. Took a week to get to my door.
I just redrilled the stock drums to fit. Worked well. Posted via Mobile Device |
