How to measure the knurl on lug studs?

72 rear axles. Drove a stud out and when I measure the absolute outside diameter of knurled part I'm getting .614. The only wheel studs I find that are close are .625. Can you press that much in? Or am I measuring wrong?

Re: How to measure the knurl on lug studs?

The smooth part on the inboard side was .570 or so. The knurled part in the axle itself (the part that has the ribs) measured out to about .595. Summit doesnt have anything real close to this that I could find and when I called them they said that they didnt for some odd reason. Closest thing I found was .625 knurl
