87 Z28 Camero parts to 1963 C10 stepside
Hi Folks,
I am doing my first ground up restor of a 1963 Chevy C10 stepside shortbed. I have a 1987 Z28 Camero with a 305 4 bbl, 700r4. Does anyone know what I can use off the car for the truck? My plan was to take the motor and tranny as the motor was recently rebuilt. I just bought 12 each disc brakes for the front and rear of the truck. I was hoping I could use the power steering, the brake booster; I believe will need to buy a new master as the truck will have disc front and back (the z28 only has front disc). Thanks |

Welcome to the forum!
you can use the rear sway bar on these trucks , theres two ways ive done it in my build thread, 1st way is like this link: http://www.low69cst.freeservers.com/CamaroBar.htm that bolts to the top of the axle, or 2nd way ive done it is bolt it to the trailing arms and to frame which IMO i think is alot better!

If you are creative enough I would think you could swap the cruise control if the camaro has it

Welcome to the forum
The Camaro steering will not work on your '63. The brake booster might be useable. I'm just not familar with how they bolt to the Camaro firewall. It may or may not bolt to the booster bracket that I sell. Other than the engine, trans and rear sway bar (if equipped), there isn't a whole lot that will work on your truck. The seats might, if you can built some sturdy mounts for them.

I would suppose it all depends on your skill set, financial position and desire....Anything is possible.
Now as far as direct bolt ons go- very little, other than drivetrain. |
