Re: Ever had to shim a bed???

Based on your pics the wood will bring the bed up to the proper height When you put the bed together with the new wood. I did this on my stepper, square up the bed set it on the truck site through the tail gate to the front of the bed make sure they are parallel. And level with the body line on the back of the cab.
Shim the bed with simple washers until you are happy with it. Good luck and stay with it I know you will get it perfect! Cheers, Pat
