2011 6.0 1400 miles
I have the opportunity to pick up this engine for 1500.00 complete other than starter. I really wanted a 5.3 but this seems to be too good to be true.
The truck was stolen and recoverd at a chop shop, motor was in a crate sitting on the floor next to the frame. Is it a good candidate for a swap? I was looking for a early 5.3 because I have several harnesses and lots of parts. it's for my 1991 suburban. Asking price is 1500.00 including all accessories and harness, unsure about computer. Appreciate any input. Keith Posted via Mobile Device |

My concerns come down to harness availability and other availability because it is so new.

sounds like a good deal. Get it! Everything is available just as much as if it were a early 5.3 or ls1

Get it and you can put all the older harness/computer/sensor stuff on it and use what you already have. For $1500 that is one helluva deal.
