My 350 has camel hump heads with no holes for mounting alternator. I bought a mount that bolts where the p/s pump would be but it wont fit in truck. I have heard there are ones that use water pump bolts but cant seem to find them help me out again guys thx.

Re: mounting alternator

I've made a bracket before that goes from exhaust manifold to intake to water pump and supports the rear alternator bolt. Lots of guys just put a nut on the alternator and let it go that way without the extra support of the head.

Re: mounting alternator

This is what I fabbed. Rams horn manifold with original generator bracket mounting lugs. I uses a long waterpump so I used angle to move the alt forward to match the pulleys. Made a adjustment bracket out of two short ones I had. I wanted the alternator to lay off to the side to show off the valve covers. My ps pump mounts on the water pump with stock bracket, I made an adjustment angle off of the front exhaust maniford bolt. After market stuff to me looks too bulky, you lift the hood and all you see are brackets hiding the engine.
