Cool How to find out if engine is original?

Is the engine block id number supposed to include part of the vin number? Because mine doesn't, trying to find out if my engine is original. Advice is appreciated, thanks.

Re: How to find out if engine is original?

My engine ID was in two parts. there was a partial VIN and then also an Engine ID. I had to remove some paint to see it all though, especially the partial VIN.
