Advice is needed, how to get my temp gauge working...

Ok, I need some advice on how to get my temp gauge to read. Only gauge that works right is speed, batt. No temp. How can I make it work, what to look for connection wise. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I am suspecting you have a sbc? First I would look at the temperature probe on your engine and make sure the wire is on it. Or that it is not broken etc...

Temp sender should be in the driver's side cylinder head. Should have a green wire connecting to it.

Yeah usually a green wire attached to the sending unit on the drivers side of the block, just under the exhaust manifold close to the #4 cylinder. One fairly ez check is attach the green wire to a ground, this should max out the gauge(key on of course), if your gauge maxes then it is the sending unit in the block that is toast. If touching the wire to a ground does not max out the gauge then it could be a break in the wire, fuse, or a faulty gauge.
