Crewcab Step Mounting?? Tank problem

I was looking to mount a set of Super Hoops on my 1986 K30 Crewcab. When ordering the steps from Trick Trucks they said they would fit no problem, I said even with "Saddle tanks"?, "Sure no problem". Now when the go to install them they say the step will not work!

Trying not to put back on the old man aluminum plate running boards. Has any installed these steps on a crewcab with saddle tanks and if so how? Or does any one havea different type of bar/step that would work?

Thanks!

Re: Crewcab Step Mounting?? Tank problem

We tried to put a set on my buddy's 87 V30 and they won't fit. The mounting bracket won't even fit between the inner rock and tank. Unfortunately you can use those on the rear of a crew cab or even on the front of a standard cab.
