To keep the E-brake or not?
I am putting a 700r4 in my 65 C10 and came across the dilemma of keeping the E-brake or not. Since the stock crossmember had to be removed I don't know if we should take the time to make a new shorter set up or ditch the whole E-brake entirely? Since I will have the automatic with park I guess it really isn't needed. Has anyone done this exchange and had the same idea?

Re: To keep the E-brake or not?
I think you can just switch to the 66 setup. It doesn't use the crossmember if I remember correctly.

Your state doesnt require a safety inspection but personally I would keep it but I might be inclined to change it to a pedal op instead of the hand.

Re: To keep the E-brake or not?
'66-'72 use the same basic e-brake cable assembly, without a crossmember as the '63-'65's did.
