My 1985 Chevy
Hi guys, this is Josh and it is my first post on here. I have got lots of useful information from this site. I am a tech at a Chevy dealership in Muskogee, Ok so that makes working on this truck a little easier.
Bought this truck for $750 to use for parts. Decided I liked this one better and kept it. So far I have done the following swaps with all salvage yard parts except for the fan and miscellaneous stuff from classicparts and lmctruck: 262 to 305 engine carpet, interior trim, and headliner (truck had none) electric fan (jeep fan) manual doors to power windows and locks idiot lights to guages sport mirros to full mirrors stock steering wheel to 88-94 steering wheel aluminum wheels to rallies I also have almost all of the parts to do the tbi conversion but the 87 longbed at the salvage yard was crushed before I could get the fuel tank and lines, so now I am stuck deciding what to do there. Where did you get the head liner?

I got the headliner at the salvage yard. Found a all the trim pieces and headliner in perfect condition. The hardest thing for the power doors was drilling the holes on the cab. Its at a bad angle without removing the fenders. I destroyed 2 brand new hole saws doing it.

Cool but I didnt think you could ship gas tanks. I think the hardest part is I cant find factory fuel lines and so I would have to piece together aftermarket lines.

You should have no problem finding parts. These trucks are constantly being parted out on OKC CL.

Cool truck its looking good so far. Keep up the good work and enjoy driving around knowing you did it all on your own
 I like the stereo and cup holder setup on the floor. Gotta be nice having power locks and windows as well good call. Have fun with your project.
