New Guy

HI all, Been a lurker on this forum for sometime while looking for a truck. Well I finally found one I like. It was basically built 10 yrs ago and is not a show car but a really good driver which is what I was looking for. It has some issues which I will be asking questions about. My plan is to just drive it mostly as is this summer and collect parts and info for some updates this winter. Its a 56 Chevy w/ a GMC hood, it has a 400 sb and 350 w/shift kit and a 12 bolt rear. Its more than I hoped for to start a project but just couldn"t turn it down for the price. Picture is in my profile not sure how to post it here yet.

Thanks for the comments and welcomes. The 55 wagon is not mine, it is a real nice ride though.

Re: New Guy

Sweet ride! Post more pictures when you can.

Lots of info here and tons of folks that offer sound advice based on their experience. All you have to do is search the threads and you'll find it. If not, just ask and there is always someone willing to help out.
Good luck and welcome.

Re: New Guy

Thanks solidaxle, thats what attracted me towards this one. I wanted to drive while I upgrade. Its a good 10 footer but needs updates. Power steering, power brakes, move the tank and move rear shock mounts so they actually work are first on the list. This is gonna be fun!!!
