Wanting to start my first build. Kinda scared...
So I do my own basic wrenching on my cars. Pretty much all except transmissions and engines replacing. But the fact that i've never replaced a engine or tranny has me scared. I am wanting to do a crate motor install and either new or rebuild tranny too. Am I in over my head? I wish I had a good mentor but know one in my family or friends does this sort of thing.
37 years old and wanting to do close to a frame up restore. |

Also you can go to the regions part and find your region and find people close to you and someone may even lend u a hand.

If the motor and tranny are still in it. Take a lot of pictures so that you can see how things went together. Also label your bolts in baggies as to what they belong to.
when ever possible I try to place the bolts back in the spots where they came from, so that I don't get confused where stuff goes. Digi cams are a huge help for documenting things. Hope this helps you out. Tony |

make sure that you search for whatever you want to do. Chances are someone else has done it and may be able to lend a hand. don't be shy about pm-ing someone for help if they've done something similar
