Sure did. If you look close enough you can see the plating on the outside and the boxed sections on the inside. That area is now the strongest part of the frame.

Not much to update on. Been cleaning and rebuilding the axles. Ordered new brake and fuel lines from Inlinetube. Started to install those. Other than that slow going right now.

Been awhile since last post. Scraped the 1/2 ton axles and went with 14b ff rear and 44 front with 4:10s. Still lots of small stuff to do drivelines, weld perches on rear axle, finish up brake lines, modify tranny pan for front drive shaft, headers, wiring, etc.

You are doing a great job on the conversion. I was in the same boat as you, but someone really wanted to buy my 72 2wd shortbox stepside. Now i have a 69 4wd shortbox stepside. It has a 4" lift, 3/4 ton axles, 33" mudders, 350 small block, TH400, and NP203 transfercase. I have a 396 i'am throwing in it. Is your tranny stock or modified? Is it capable of handling big block power? Reasoning for asking is i'am thinking of throwing same tranny in my truck too.

Where did you pick up the 67 rolling chassis from?
