6 CYL power steering brackets

I know very little about the 6 or the 60-66 model trucks. I need to know a little info about my C60, it has a 292? in it and I would like to add power steering . What models can I look for to get the pump and brackets and pulleys off of? what all years will fit and what all motors will fit as well [ie250] Thanks for the help. I am pretty sure I can find a C40-60 power steering box off something ,won't they work for like a hundred years? I had mine given to me by my bro in law and they [his family ]farm bought it new it has 29,000 miles and the dump still works as it should . The front grille is smashed a long with the hood and grille surround and left fender. I am gonna go in search for these parts soon. All of the lights even work. The only problem is the rear wheel cyl on the right rear is leaking and will need to be replaced. I will be using this at my body shop and throwing scrap metal on it and when it is loaded I'll take it off to the yard ,easier than loading a trailer and I can move it out of the way and load whenever. So thanks for looking and thanks for helping if you can

You will need the pump brackets and pulleys from another 292. The brackets from a 250 are different, but I believe you may be able to make them work if need be. Another option is that there is a seller on ebay that manufactures new PS pump brackets for most GM I6's including the 292.

This looks like the correct set up for earlier 292. You might need to also find a crankshaft pulley with double grooves.http://www.ebay.com/itm/292-Chevy-GM...493b73&vxp=mtr

Re: 6 CYL power steering brackets

I second the Davis Engineering brackets off eBay. I use it on my 230 and it was hands down easy to install, it was adjustable so I was able to make the pump line up perfectly with the other pulley. Like someone else said, he makes them for the 292 as well.

I had stock brackets from another vehicle but was never able to get them to work with my setup, the Davis ones were so much simpler.
