Re: found a 409 this am

They are definitely worth something. We pulled one out of a 65 80 series chevy truck and it is getting bored .30 over and uilt to 409 hp and put into our 62 impala convertible super sport. If you picked it up or will pick it up, I am in need on the exhaust manifold off of it if any good If you are interested.

Re: found a 409 this am

Ron if it were a little closer I`d be there in a heart beat, but at 925 miles just a little far, but maybe some of those in wash might come...!

Re: found a 409 this am

last (only) 2 409's I saw for sale were $2K, and $4k, both runners , engine only.
it might be a hassle , but try to save it, would be a shame to see it get scrapped.

Jon ' this is how I am trying to save it
I am in a commercial space and only so much room so I am telling you guys that it is here. I did buy 6 pieces of 1930's wood working equipment also today for that one piece. so 5 and the piece that it replaced are actually sitting outside in the frt of my shop for sale. and they are priced for quick quick sale(didn't post this trying to sell anything, just explaining my situation) right across from a quite large lumber yard and lots of weekend warriors and such go by.
