Need advice on door hinge replacement
My old hinges were pretty worn and needed replacement. So where I'm at now is that the new hinges are installed on the pillar. I'm starting to wonder if I have to remove the front fenders to get to the pillar hinge bolts and have everything lined up right. The hinge bolts on the pillar (behind the front fender) are very difficult to get to. I was thinking about sacrificing some wrenches and have them cut and welded with the right bend and length to get to them or if there is a specialty wrench out there made for doing this? What did you folks do? Were any of you able to align without removing the fenders? I assume removing the the front fenders will require me to remove the hood and cowl? If I remove the front fenders do I have to remove the grill and grill shell? If I remove the cowl how do I remove the wiper arms? Any help is greatly apreciated!!
