Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

OK, remember that you get what you pay for. Extra for power rack, what about boxing plates? sway bar? (55-59 chevs are wider, they really need one) what size are the brakes (your truck will weigh in at 3600-3900 lbs). Are the ball joints servicable? How was the track width widened? Ask these questions and see what the answer is, or if they know the answer.

Re: Southern rods ifs

complete Wide-Ride IFS kits list at $2695.00. Forum members can get 10% off, OR free shipping, but not both. Free shipping is for the lower 48 states only. Your choice. Usually the 10% is more savings.

Sometimes the cheapest isn't always the CHEAPEST!!

You get what you pay for it's only your life and our's when you get it on the road.

Re: Southern rods ifs

I do trust rob he knows his suspension stuff and spending a little more now will save you in the long run too.His the spindles are 2nd gen f body so ball joints even brakes will always be available. The other one they don't say so who knows what is used and if you would have to order parts from them only that can get pricey.
