86 C10 1500 Vs 2500

Hello guys,

I'm new here and been looking around for info, tips.trick and build threads on C10's.

planning to buy '80+ C10 and make it my drag car, found some but i'm still looking around, today i've found an '86 C10 2500 350/4spd auto, (the one with 8bolts wheels.

So is there is a big difference between 1500 Vs 2500 C10s? i'm going to swap the front end with tubular arms and the rear end with ford 9.

frame wise? wight difference etc? any thing matter?

thx
