http://www.bismanonline.com/1984_chevy_1_2_ton_9
Talked to owner of pickup. said everything works. 700r4 trans. not sure what transfer case. lockout hubs. rebuilt 350 (unknown mileage) unknown rearend. unknown diff gears. dual fuel tanks ( although he said one has a bad leak so only drivers side is useable) Silverado package. three pictures of it are on the link i posted. dark blue in color. diamond plate toolbox. bed caps. cruise a/c pl pw. newer tires. aluminum wheels. little sun visor thing on front of cab.
Just going to use it as a winter vehicle and work vehicle. havent owned a 73-87 yet. rust is said to not to be too bad. may be going to look at it this weekend.
Let me know what you guys think. also if there are any important questions i should ask him please inform me.
Thanks,
Logan

I wouldn't buy that just for the simple fact that he couldn't rotate the pictures in his ad.

When I hear "rust not too bad" I run the other way. When rust starts it does not stop, especially in your neck of the woods. I always suggest buying a rust free truck from the SW US and having it transported to you. Check CL for big SW cities and you will see lots of interesting deals. Probably only about $600 to get one transported to you. Plus, a rust free SW truck will hold its resale value in your area - until it also starts to rust.

Re: Is this worth $3,000

Tucsonjwt, i understand what you're saying but this is just going to be a work/winter vehicle and i dont plan on keeping it all too long. I know there are good deals down south and less/no rust but i dont really want to go through that hassle of transportation. even if i did get a rust free vehicle it wouldnt last too long up here. thank you for your comments

Re: Is this worth $3,000

Looks OK if you could talk him down a little. In my area they don't use salt so the trucks hold up fairly well, I don't see any rust in the pictures but that's not saying much. If you go look at it just check the fenders and floors for rust.

Re: Is this worth $3,000

Yes i agree^^ his ad says OBO so ill give him my best. they dont use salt around here either thank god. we use sand instead. works just as good but doesnt wreck vehicles as fast as salt. Do rockers and cab corners rust bad in these pickups like they do i 67-72's? i've heard about fenderwells and floorboards as being rust fiends so ill be sure to check those areas.

Rockers and cab corners are bad to, the bottom of the doors can be to, that's the only place I had rust.
