4 inch or 6 Inch

I have a 1984 gmc K3500. wanting some opinions, i have some 35/12.50/17 nitto mud grapplers. should i do a 4 inch and save $ or just do the 6 inch in case i wanna do bigger tires?

The cost difference will probably not be that big between 4 and 6". If you think you may want to go bigger later, now is the time to do it. Although I feel my 4" is right where I want it with my 35x12.50s and don't plan to go any higher on my K30, but it is a DRW.

6 inch with 35's. go for the 6 inch, might as well get what you want the first time, saves money in the long run. ive learned that countless times

Why even make them out of spring steel with that much arch? Might as well weld some 2x2 tube to the frame and axle

hey its kinda cheap but it will ride good, flex well, and clear some good size tires

I had a 4" in my 78 before I restored it. When I restored it I replaced the 4" lift with a 6" lift. If I had to do it again I would've kept the 4" lift. I had some drive line issues with the 6" lift, for one I had to get a new front driveshaft. The old one wasn't quite long enough. I think you would have plenty of room for 35's with the 4" lift.
