ECE Drop issues need help
Hey guys, installed a 3.5/5 drop on my long box and it looks great! Bought a complete kit with disc brake conversion, shocks, drop coils, adjustable bar, and shock relocator. Went together pretty easy in my garage, and at the same time I freshened up the front end with new steering box, and suspension components. Had it professionally aligned and had the shop also double check my adjustment of the bar in the rear.
Ran into a few problems that I didn't expect. 1) suspension seems very soft over bumps. My truck seems to move very easily at the slightest bump in the road, really weird. The stock suspension never did this, so now I am concerned that I may have done something wrong during the install. I did use KYB shocks for lowered applications. The front end dives hard after bumps and will occasionally cause the inner fender to rub on the tire. 2) I am running 29 inch tall tires on the truck, only because that's what was on it before I lowered it. I will be putting on 275/60r15's in the back on 15x8 inch rims. I have 15x7 inch rims for the front to account for the widened track, but I'm trying to decide what size of tire to use. I had thought about 235/70r15's up front but they are 28 inches tall. I'm concerned that if in fact the suspension is supposed to move like it does, the 28 inchers up front will still rub. The other hand I don't want to have the truck raked out with taller rubber in the back and shorter rubber up front. Anybody run into these issues before? In a holding pattern right now... Re: ECE Drop issues need help
you may just need to try a stiffer shock.

Re: ECE Drop issues need help
Please some pics of your lowered truck. 3 1/2 frt and 5 rear is what I've wanted to do to mine and I am running P255/70r15's on all 4 corners. With that drop I am pretty sure if you run the same tire size on all 4 corners you will pretty much level out the truck.

Re: ECE Drop issues need help
I always liked a 225/70/15 up front and a 285/70/15 in the back
