Stepside side VS Fleetside Rear Bumper Brackets?
Can someone post a picture of a factory set of stepside brackets. The reason I ask everybody says they are diffrent. Well a customer of mine bought a set did not tell me he was putting them on a stepside and claims they fit prefect. I was really wondering what the true difference is. I have a set I think is orginal and they look just like the fleetside to me???????

From what I remember, my fleetside and stepside brackets look the same. I actually have a pile of them upstairs in my garage. Sorry I can't take pics, 3 more weeks in Japan.

They look the same to me and the fit is the same. Because of the age of the trucks that we have, I can't vouch for the originality but brackets from the short box will work on the long box and vice versa. We need to hear from the knowledgeable one and keeper of historical facts, (Jerry Moss would know for sure).

We will have the short box leaf spring brackets next weak I believe. I sent the set off a long time ago to have them reproduced. They are longer than the long bed brackets. Here is a picture of the samples:

I purchased a set of bumper brackets from Jerry Moss some time back that came from a short step 2wd with leafs. Fit my short leaf 4x4 fine. They look exactly like the ones posted by Wes except they did not have the welded reinforcement. The coil brackets can be used on a short leaf, just need to lengthen them and notch for the rivit on the rear shackle mount.
