I really like your radio install. Where did you get whatever your radio is mounted on (or in), that sure looks good.

The radio mount is a universal under dash unit purchased at Circuit City.
I made a plate out of aluminum that attaches to the "rib" in the console to cover the bottom of the mount and hide the wires.

Re: Maiden Voyage

What kind of drop do you have on the suspension?

Re: Maiden Voyage

Sorry to say that I honestly do not have a good answer on the exact drop dimensions.
It was converted from a 4X4, the stock 4X4 rear axle is now on top of the factory leaf springs, the front is an OEM 72 2WD crossmember and suspension with a set of aftermarket dropped springs.
I had a couple sets of different unmarked dropped springs and dropped spindles laying around so I played with a few different combinations until the wife said she liked the height. I do not remember which was which.

Re: Maiden Voyage

That's fine. I was just wondering because I'm going with a 502 and it should weigh about the same as the 454. I'll figure it out.

I think this winter I'll pull it in the shop and pull out the 454 and replace it with a fuel injected LQ9 (6.0 liter) more HP and way better gas mileage!
