My First Truck
Hey everyone,
I'm Joel from sunny California. I picked up my first truck last May. It's an '86 GMC with Chevy badges. (The guy who built this truck wanted to do a NASTruck dedication, hence the Chevy emblems) I got this truck for $1700 in great running condition. She starts, idles and shifts great and has been a dependable truck. All I needed to do was fix a small leak in the radiator and buy new tires. There is a dent in the front bumper, but my friend has a chrome bumper that we'll paint and replace it with. There are a few things I need to do like fix the horn, the heater and the temperature gauge. Other small plans include replacing the plastic bed liner with a spray-in liner and installing new shocks. I hope to learn as much as I can from this awesome forum! Here are a few pics from today. |

Re: My First Truck
Looks like a good start. Glad you found this site. I'm building my first truck, well actually my first vehicle and I have no idea what I would have done if I hadn't of found out about this site. Great people and lots of information.
Best of luck on your new project!

Re: My First Truck
How far is your truck lowered? I love the stance on it.
