Tell me about your billet grille

Specific question here....

I'm looking for a billet grille for an 87 style front end with the four headlights. I do not want a phantom grille at all. Just a normal insert.

My question concerns the turn signal lights behind the grille. Can anyone recommend me a particular grille that has provisions for mounting the turn signals right out of the box without having to make something ?

Links ?

Re: Tell me about your billet grille

Both of my billet grills came with mounts for the turn signal housings. they clip in. No brand though, they came on my trucks. I replaced them with phantom grills that also have these same provisions.
let me know if that is not what you're talking about.

Re: Tell me about your billet grille

I appreciate the input. A grille like the one in your picture is what I want. All I know is that I once put one of these grills in and it had no provision for the turn signal mounts and I had to fettle with it for longer than I cared to do to get them mounted.

I was hoping someone would be able to specify me a brand or source that would be a sure bet. I usually shop Summit for things like this, but even their house brand unit is still fairly expensive. I see a lot of nice looking ones on eBay for like 80 bucks delivered to my door.

Re: Tell me about your billet grille

yeah, I'm cheap and personally would go with an Amazon brand lol. All the grilles I've delt with have had the mounts for the signals. Sometimes they slide right in and sometimes I've had to rig them on because the mounts are slightly off. Good luck with finding what you need.
