Jimmy Shines army bag interior?

Does anyone have any pics of Jimmy Shines army bag interior on his 1934 Bare Metal truck 'Bare Nekid' after he painted it. It was on speed or something like that about a year ago, but all of the pics that I can find are of it before he re did it..... Wanting to do this to my dads 68. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance...

Re: Jimmy Shines army bag interior?

I think Pete Chaporis convinced him to leave the truck in bare metal.

In the show that I saw, he painted it flat black and redid the interior with army bags. just saying. I don't think it was a dream?!?!? LOL

Nothing turns up on any google search? I remember seeing the episode on the interior, but it's like a mystery now.

Wouldn't be that hard to make them out of duffle bags, without looking I think they only have one side seam, same principle as using blankets for seat covers. Being in a military town I can get them at yard sales for $5, I have my original from 1970 and 3-4 more. Also some neat flight bags. Any big city surplus store would have them too.

Re: Jimmy Shines army bag interior?

I can find plenty on the truck but no photo of the seats or door panels. One site said that Ron Mangus stitched the interior but there is nothing on his site about it. I've looked at probably 300 photos of the truck in the last hour an not one of the seats.

Re: Jimmy Shines army bag interior?

Scroll down, there is one photo but it doesn't look like the seats were done in it. It just looks like they had stadium cushions thrown in to sit on.
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/44...d-truck/page-2

Scrolling through a lot of photos shows that the truck went through several stages including adding a blower to the flathead. I think that was when the interior was upgraded to the army canvas.

You can see that the interior had been done in this shot https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater
I didn't poke around very much on his facebook page though to find more photos.
