fuel pump to sending unit hose 87 chevy truck
the 2 inch or so lenght of hose that connects the pump to sending unit, does it have to be special hose or just standard fuel hose?
finally got tank ripped off dont know if ill ever get it back on couldnt get to none of the clamps for the bed so i cut them off dont know how hard it will be to get the new hoses hooked up maybe not to bad.

Your fuel pump should only be pushing 15 psi. So any fuel hose with clamps should work fine. Go to your auto parts store and grab some fuel hose. Someone there should know what to get you. Tell them it's part of your fuel system. It is not high pressure.

I will have to dissagree regular hose will not hold up Take it from someone that learned the hard way Get the hose designed to be in gas all the time

Get good hose not cheap stuff. The ethonal in the fuel will swell the cheap hose and it will burst.

87, sounds fuel injected
use proper hose and clamps required bet you wouldn't want to do that tank twice

Go with Gates Barricade line. It's designed specifically for today's alcohol blend fuels and good to 50 PSI. A TBI pump only puts out around 12 PSI. This stuff will last a long time.

Re: fuel pump to sending unit hose 87 chevy truck
For the outside it would be "OK" to use regular fuel line hose ... for the inside tank... get fuel injection hose. That is thicker and will withstand being submerged in fuel all the time
oh also get some good clamps....When i did mine i made the hoses reach down to the floor so i can hook them up and not have to hold the tank up... |
