I have a new bumper with fog lights in them from lmc
Has anyone ever tried to integrate this or another fog light system into the floor mounted brights switch?

Good or bad idea?

What do you think?

I wouldn't do it. Aside from possibly overloading the circuit, I think it's a good idea to have separate control of the fog lights. Fog lights are designed to help you see better when there's fog; high beams actually make it harder to see in the fog.

It may actually be against the law to have them on at the same time. It seems like on modern vehicles I've owned with factory fogs, that when the brights come on the fogs turn off.

Most states it's not legal to have any other lights on when your high beams are on.
I have mine tied to the low beam side so that when you hit the dimmer switch the high's come on and the low side goes off in turn the fogs/ driving lights do to.

Its really easy to do. Use relays for the lights and a single pole double throw switch (center off). Tie one side to ignition or battery hot. The other to the low beam circuit for fog lamps. Do the same for a set of driving lights and tie them into the high beams. Now you can turn the lights on manually or have them work with the highs or lows as is appropriate. In-line fuses and indicator lights are good additions as well.

thanks for the input everyone......i have another question.

i added the cab roof running lights to my burb and want to route it through my light switch instead of an additional switch under the dash.

i connected it to the only port i could see ( hard to see it way up there) and they work when the running lights only are on (first click) and when the headlights are on (second click/ all the way out) they turn back off.

does anyone have a good diagram of the light switch, where to connect it? good or bad idea? or should i just connect it to the fuse panel

also the switch is a new one from american auto wire if it makes a difference.

I would tie them into the instrument fuse in the cluster. That way anytime the dash lights are on they will be to!

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
