Really confused about center caps for Rally wheels
I've searched multiple threads and I am aware that dog dish/COPO/Poverty caps won't work with Rallys. However.....why do I see them being sold online? Is this a different wheel than your typical rally? I found some Camaro center caps local for a good price and would love to figure a way to make them work on my Rally wheels? What am I missing here?

Re: Really confused about center caps for Rally wheels
I am not sure of your question. "Why do I see them being sold online?".
I think the confusion is there are car rallys and truck rallys. OEM truck rallys use three screws to hold the caps on. They have a 5x5" bolt pattern. OEM car rallys have a outside ridge that the cap snaps into. Neither rally will work with dog dish caps.Dos gish need a wheel with an outside ridge with nubs that the cap snaps over. The aftermarket makes wheels that look like the car rallys that have the truck 5x5" bolt pattern. Unfortunately, the "good price" you found on the car rally caps will be negated by having to buy wheels to fit the caps, but they do look good on trucks. Search the Wheel Vintiques site some more and you will find the "car" rallys with truck bolt pattern. |

Re: Really confused about center caps for Rally wheels
yea the truck rally has only one real center caps style, the car rally has numerous styles. All the dog dish caps are for the steelies with the nubs that they snap over.
Truck rallies 1st pic. Car rallies others with different caps still other options not pictured

Re: Really confused about center caps for Rally wheels
Thanks for the clarification on truck and car rallys. I may just buy the Camaro center caps in case I go the car route in the future.
