spring cutting?

I have the front end of my '69 torn apatt for a disc brake swap, and I figured I moght as well lower it while I am at it. I have two spring choices. The regular ones frkm the '69, and heavy duty ones from an'81. Which should J use? I plan on cutting 1 ring off.

Re: spring cutting?

I would say if your truck sat level with the original springs I would cut and use those.

Re: spring cutting?

I would use the heavy springs. The 1/2 ton springs are too soft for a lowered truck in my opinion.

I agree. I cut the original ones, which I found soft before, and it dropped way more than I expected. It seems like Im going to have issues with bottoming out, so I will probably put the heavier springs in sometime.
