Porterbuilt Stage 1 drop

What kind of drop can be obtained with the Porterbuilt stage 1 kit front and rear at ride height? How much drop can be obtained in the front with airbags while still being able to get a proper alignment?

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 1 drop

This truck has the Stage1 front & Stage 2 basic in the rear, which has a c-notch and allows it to be a tad lower in the rear. The Stage 1 rear will be about appx. 1" or so higher without the c-notch. The Stage 1 will rest the axle almost on the frame.

Your ride height would be similar to a static dropped truck, and you will want to align the truck at ride height. The truck will align without any issues. Truck below uses drop spindles, which is ideal when bagging a truck.

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 1 drop

Thanks for the info. For the rear I'm not too concerned. For the front what I would like to know is how much can I lower with only airbags and still get a proper alignment. For normal springs it seems like around 3 inches is the max, is it the same for bags? I know it could go lower aired out but I am thinking more along the lines of when I am driving around.

It will be the same for the bags, when used with stock arms and front suspension. Your suspension (arms, ball joints, tie rods) are in the same position whether an air bag or air spring is in there.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Pretty sure it's a one piece. I can confirm on Monday (the owner stocks us with all our shop supplies).

He has a build thread on here, but don't remember his user name.
