Does anyone make a good metal cowl induction hood.

I have a harwood fiberglass hood still in the box. I have been considering do a metal hood when the time comes. I think goodmark makes one but not sure if there are other that do and how do they fit. Are they made of good quality.

Re: Does anyone make a good metal cowl induction hood.

I've heard great things about Goodmark. Basically you get what you pay for. I came across a steel cowl hood for mine on sale for $200.00 shipped! So obviously I didn't care about the fit. Here are some pics, the brand is Styleline. It fits high in the back and sits inward on the front. But it's not a show truck and I do like it. I would not recomend it for a perfectionist

That is what I have now sitting in the shed. I had it on a 83 short bed but that has been 15 years ago. I don't remember how it fit. I do know the corners back by the cowl broke down pretty easy.

Re: Does anyone make a good metal cowl induction hood.

I can attest to a Harwood hood being built tough.....i have a 4 inch scoop on my dually and it went thru my windshield, busted the dash pad, and literally bent the metal dash down about an inch and did not crack or bust the hood in any way.....so guys make sure when you pop your hood you shut it back before you drive again lol
